＃メルセデスベンツ 【空力実験デザイン】の系譜：
今回ご紹介させていただきますMLF社さんのミニカーには、
1930年台から連綿と続いてきたダイムラー/メルセデス・ベンツ社の【空力実験車の系譜：最新版】といった趣があります。

AliExpressからの推薦メールで、初めに見た時、
何か相当に心に響くものがありました。
それは何かと考えたところ、
自動車デザイン科の学生時代に2－3度制作した1/5 (又は1/4）の工業クレーモデルから型取りして作る、ファイバーグラス製のデザイン検討用のスケールモデルから放たれる
『オーラ』によく似た
【手作業の熱さ】を感じたことです。
(粘土表面で外形を決定し、石膏で型取り後、そこへカニの甲羅のように、ファイバーグラスを張り込み、薄皮状態の張りぼてを抜き出します。その後表面を心行くまで成型し、スムーズにサンディングの後、全面を塗装。
ーーーー＞仕上げに、
内装や窓、ヘッドライトやテールライトもレジンなどからスクラッチして装着後やっと出来上がる、総行程1000時間以上に及ぶ大仕事です。）
（この手作業感あふれる質感がすさまじく似通っています。
ーーーー＞もちろんスケールはごく小さい1/64ですが、、、、）
もう一つの感動ポイントは、

それ自身の外観デザインの力強さです。
つまり、

この2点が何とも言えない、
高揚感をもたらしてくれ、

「メルセデス・ベンツ ビジョン AVTR」は、映画『アバター』の世界観から着想を得て、人間・機械・自然の融合をテーマに開発された究極のコンセプトカーです。生物のように呼吸し、脳波で操作する革新的なテクノロジーとサステナブルな素材を採用しています。
コンセプトの特徴：
＊バイオニックフラップ: 車体後部には33個の可動式フラップ（鱗のようなパーツ）が備わっており、呼吸するように動いて外界とコミュニケーションを取ります。

＊ミニカー批評：本当にダイキャスト製？
それではこのLMF社製の『素晴らしいミニカー』についての、
私の感想をリストアップしていきます。
＃素晴らしい点：
1：奇想天外なコンセプトカーの複雑なボディー造形を余す事無く、超絶な手作業で見事に立体化 （いまだにレジン製の完成品（Sparkとかの）と疑っています）
2：モーターを内蔵したホイール部分（実車では）の立体感と彫刻＋すさまじいまでのグラデーション塗装の妙
3：インテリアのディテール再現の美しさ（特にモニターの塗装がリアルです）
4：透明部品のはめ込み精度＋組付け加工の丁寧さ（ほとんど曇りや、ズレ等ありません）
5：ホイール部分の塗装とマッチした台座のプリント加工（ーーー＞目新しいおまけ）
少し残念なところ:
1：フロントのウインドシールドの取り付けが若干「浮き気味」なところ
2：フロントノーズ内のディテール塗装が少し雑ーーー＞全然許容範囲ですが、、、

私としては、記事の中で個人的な外観デザインや味覚の評価、そこから広がる後半部分につなげるための、『流れ』を作るための客観的材料として年号やデータを挿入している感じです。あくまで重視したいのは、私個人の頭の中で起こる、記憶の錯そう的混沌から生まれる新たな『見方』や『情報の予想外のつながり』です。その勢いを作り出す、『流れ』の一環として、諸データが副次的に必要となるわけです。
話がそれますが、大好きな落語の世界に「三題噺」という、その場て会場から募った3つのお題を使って１つのお話に仕立てるといったお遊びがございますが、私はそれに近いことを立体造形の特徴や（料理のお味）をお題にして行っている感じがします。その中で頭の中に去来する数々の着想が、全く予想外で楽しく、次回からの記事内容を大幅に変えたり、新展開につながっています。

#Mercedes-Benz The Lineage of [Aerodynamic Test Designs]:
The mini car from LMF that we’re introducing today
embodies the spirit of Daimler/Mercedes-Benz’s [Lineage of Aerodynamic Test Vehicles: Latest Edition], a tradition that has continued unbroken since the 1930s.

When I first saw the sales page for this die-cast model
in a recommendation email from AliExpress,
it really struck a chord with me.
When I thought about what it was,
it was the
“passion of handcrafting”—
very similar to the “aura”
emitted by the fiberglass scale models for design studies
that I made two or three times during my days as an automotive design student,
which were cast from 1/5 (or 1/4) scale clay models.
(You define the outer shape on the clay surface, make a plaster mold, then lay fiberglass over it like a crab shell to create a thin, paper-thin shell. After that, you shape the surface to your heart’s content, sand it smooth, and paint the entire surface.
ーーーー＞Finally,
the interior, windows, headlights, and taillights are all scratch-built from resin and installed—only then is it complete. It’s a massive undertaking spanning over 1,000 hours in total.)
(The texture, brimming with this sense of handcrafted work, is strikingly similar.

Another impressive point is
the real-life car this model is based on,

#Overview:
The “Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR” is the ultimate concept car, developed with inspiration from the world of the movie *Avatar* and centered on the theme of the fusion of humans, machines, and nature. It incorporates innovative technology that allows it to “breathe” like a living organism and be controlled via brainwaves, along with sustainable materials.
Concept Features:
1. Design Inspired by the Movie “Avatar”
* Bionic Flaps: The rear of the vehicle is equipped with 33 movable flaps (scale-like parts) that move as if breathing to communicate with the outside world.

* Crab-walk movement: Since each of the four wheels can be controlled independently, the vehicle can move not only forward and backward but also diagonally and sideways in a “crab-walk” motion.
2. Brainwave-Controlled UI and Biometric Interface

Now, I’ll list my impressions of this “wonderful die-cast model”
produced by LMF.
#Great Points:
1: The complex body contours of this wildly imaginative concept car have been flawlessly rendered in 3D through superb handcrafting (I still suspect it might be a finished resin model, like those from Spark).
2: The three-dimensional depth and sculpting of the wheel sections (which house the motors in the real car), combined with the exquisite artistry of the gradient paintwork.
3: The beauty of the interior detail reproduction (The paint job on the monitor is especially realistic)
4: The precision of the transparent parts’ fit and the meticulousness of the assembly (almost no cloudiness or misalignment)
5: The printed finish on the base that matches the paint on the wheel sections (—> A novel bonus)
Slightly disappointing points:
1: The front windshield is mounted slightly “loose”
2: The detail painting inside the front nose is a bit sloppy ——> It’s totally within acceptable limits, though…

I feel like I’m doing something similar here, using the characteristics of three-dimensional forms and (the taste of food) as my prompts. The myriad ideas that flit through my mind during this process are completely unexpected and delightful, often leading me to drastically change the content of future articles or sparking new developments.
